LIDAR scans

I was checking to see if there was any new news are improvements/updates to LIDAR scans for Onshape in the near future?

    Hi @bryan_lagrange . Glad to hear that you are expecting more in this feature. We are still discussing what latest updates from PTC Vuforia and Apple we can get that can be applied to lidar scan.

    May I know your potential use cases so we may optimize in future updates?

    Thanks for the reply @yicong_xu. I work with a lot of reverse design of parts and also adding to existing assemblies. I am know there are heavy limitations on this type of scanning, but if I could get something that will aid in creating a starting base point that would give me a head start in a reverse design scenario. 

    The current iteration only allows large objects to be scanned and still only in very ideal situations will you get something that could possibly be used as a reference point to aid in a reverse design application. If this feature could be used on small and medium sized objects along with working in normal work environments that doesn't have excellent lighting, this would increase it's value 10 fold.
