Planes

Hi,
Please help. I'm lost.  I am modelling a bike wheel.  I have modelled the rim and the hub.  I am now trying to model the spokes.  From the sketch below you can see that I have created a set of construction lines based on the spoke centres.  These lines are from the centre of the hub to the centre of the rim.  I am now trying to create the spoke that runs from the top of the hub to the centre of the rim (as in the red dashed line).  The spoke is to run from the outside of the upper surface of the hub to the rim.  I have tried to create a new plane to line up with the line that the spoke would take but I cannot.  When I try to create a new plane it will not select the points on the hub where the construction lines meet it.  What am I doing wrong?

Please post a link to your document. You may already have the plane you seek. If not, you may be able to provide the plane you want by selecting the correct option within the Plane tool dialog. However, I suspect there may be a clever, more robust, easier way to do this using other 'made for this' tools in Onshape. - Scotty

You don't nessecarily need a plane.
    1. If you create a mate connector at the point where the spoke centerline meets the hole centerline, you could adjust this as needed and then base the sketch on the mate connector rather than a plane.
    2. If you create a center line in the hole center (You probably need it to create the spoke head anyway), you could use a 3D fit spline to create the spoke.
    3. You could strategically place 3 mate connectors in 3 places you definitely know the spoke runs through and create a 3-point plane on these.
