Modify one object from a circular pattern of objects

Hi,
I am relatively new to Onshape but one of things I find frustrating if the fact that I cannot easily modify one instance from a circular pattern or mirror set of objects.  I would have imagined that there would be some way to explode the group into the individual solid after completion.  I understand that that would require then duplicating all the sketch info used to create the solid but if I want to create different versions I am left with having to create all that geometry from scratch anyway.  Or am I missing something?

If you can be more specific with an example of what you're trying to achieve - ideally sharing a public document - it will be easier for people to help. There are definitely some clever tricks which can be done with patterning in Onshape.

If you create the pattern in an assembly, you might try replacing one member instance by a modified one. In the case below, the bolt with the mate is the 'seed' bolt for the pattern. Move it.
Sometimes, it could be wise not to pattern the actual parts, but maybe mate connectors defining their locations, or other helper geometry.
While we're at it, though, I seem to remember there was a way to dissolve patterns in OS, only I cannot seem to find it no more. :0/
