Creating negative space from existing .step file?

tauren_collinsontauren_collinson Member Posts: 2
I'm struggling with a small project. I wanted to try learning how to create a shape from an existing object. I have an origami icosahedron gifted that I want to make a pedestal for.

I used text to cad to create the initial geometry in an attempt to save time but I'm scratching my head instead. I'd like the negative space to support the icosahedron on 5 faces, meeting at a single point on the bottom. My only experience is creating from scratch.
