Exporting multiple composite parts as individual STL files?

I have a model that contains a large number of composite parts.
When I select a single composite part and export it, e.g. model A, it exports it as A.stl, all good.
Now when I select composite part A + B and export them, Onshape creates a single STL file with both parts in it.
Instead, I would like it to create 2 STL files, A.stl and B.stl.
I tried checking the "Export unique parts as individual files" option, but it exports all individual parts as STL files, effectively nullifying the use of composite parts.
Alternatively I can manually export each composite part individually (which I have been doing up until now) but this is quite cumbersome when I change something in the model and have to export all the affected parts one-by-one again.
So my question: is there a way to quickly export a large number of composite parts as individual files, where each file contains a single composite part?

Can you try adding your composite parts to an assembly and then doing your export from the assembly (with "Export unique parts as individual files" option).
Let me know if this works.
Cheers
I tried your suggestion but unfortunately it behaves the same as when exporting from the part studio.
