Feature request: PDF Export of viewport (vector graphic)

I would love to be able to export the current view (not drawing) as PDF. For students at our chair we prefer vector graphics in their thesis.
(Like the print feature, which I can also use to generate a PDF, but the result should be a vector graphic.)
