Export File Naming

What has changed recently that causes the filename of exported parts to change after the export is complete?
I can assign a specific name to a file and then click export. While the file is exporting, I can see the correct name appear in my macOS Downloads folder. However, once the export is finished, the file is renamed to reflect the document name and a portion of the part name. I’ve never used export rules but tried experimenting with them to no avail.
At the moment, I have to copy the file name to the clipboard, then, once it's exported, rename it in Finder. This is really annoying, to say the least.
Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening here?
