Feature Pattern across revolved curve

Hi All,
I'm trying to model a hexagonal grip patter across an ergonomic surface.
I have a Part that was created by Revolving a series of lines and curves. This would be fairly straightforward if it was a simple cylinder. Short of laying out and sizing each hexagon by hand across the entire surface, I'm stuck on this one.
I've looked at the Fill Pattern custom feature, but that only seems to work on flat planes.
Here's a sample off the workspace for a visual of what I'm trying to pattern on.

Forgot about the surface pattern FS, looks like a simpler option!
