Over Define Assembly when simulating a piston

I'm designing a box that has a gas piston on the side.

I have the top of the box connected to the bottom with a simple revolute mate acting like a hinge. I designed the gas piston with a slider mate.

When I attach the top of the piston to the lid with a revolute mate, there's no issue, but when I connect the other end to the bottom half of the box, I get the over defined error.

I tried swapping all of the revolute mates out for cylindrical mates, and that didn't help.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Josh. You've got duplicate revolute mates to make the lid to box 'hinge' connection. I suppressed the top one and it seems to be ok. - Scotty
