Auto-linking configurations of the same type + name.

I am making a master assembly with multiple sub-assemblies (which may also have sub-assemblies) that all have an option to suppress fasteners as it can cause the large master assembly to slow down.
The tree of configurations are all the same type (checkbox) and name for this in every assembly/sub-assembly/sub-sub-assembly. Is it possible to setup an auto-link where I don't have to manually link these configuration options together when importing new sub-assemblies into the master assembly?
