How big can a point-cloud file be for onshape? And do you all recommend a specific app for this?

I have a project that requries me to work with raw data from a Point-cloud or STL file. I am trying to determane which of these would be the most viable file format and if there are any apps within onshape to help me out with this? There will be a fair bit of surfacing to do as the part is very curvy.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Kind Regards

Here is a custom feature someone made for importing a CSV to Points

If you have an STL file, you can import that directly and use it as a reference. Onshape can do mixed modeling with mesh and NURBs CAD. You can align sketches and/or 3D curves to vertices of mesh data.

If you're doing a lot of reverse engineering from point clouds and/or mesh data, there are other tools which are more suited for that type of work.
