Won't allow an extrude

I am attempting to extrude 'Sketch 16', inward .300", but the drawing simply will not take - no errors given, it just refuses to display the extrude. I've reduced the depth, moved Sketch 16 side to side, but it just won't accept it.  What am I missing?

Make sure you're extrude-removing, and in the right direction.

I appreciate that, but I'd love to know why it wasn't working for me. I've attempted it many times, at times it would pre-view the cut correctly, then once I applied the extrude it would just vanish.

I appreciate it.  Yes, I was sure of which direction it was extruding.  I tried it many times, it would pre-view the cut correctly, but once I clicked the green check it would disappear, as if being rejected.

You might've been extrude-adding. The three important variables are direction, type (new/add/remove/intersection), and merge scope. We have logic that will try to set these things intelligently, but it won't do what you want 100% of the time.

@chris_mcgough... First off, a suggestion...take the training!   Looking over your feature tree you are really doing thing the hard way...which can make it frustrating when trying to learn.

The part you're trying to model can be done with just 6 Feature items...your feature tree has 30!
