How to I fit Text into a hole for the Text

tushaar_pal567tushaar_pal567 Member Posts: 4
Hello everyone, I am trying to make a small gift, but am having trouble when I go and 3D print my Part Studio. I have created a sketch and extruded a flat piece. I then put text over the extrude and remove the space from the block so the hole for the text is the exact same. When I go and 3D print the 2 pieces they don't fit together. I need help to find how and why these aren't fitting together.

You're 3D printing the positive and negative and you want them to fit together?  That won't work if they have zero gap in Onshape.  The tolerances of a 3D printer will make that practically impossible.  If you're using a Boolean subract, do an Offset all of 1 mm or so.  At least your printer nozzle size, i.e., 0.4 mm.  That will give you some clearance.
