Trouble with Imported Unconstrained DXF Sketches

I imported a DXF file into my sketch, and non of the points are constrained. Trying to add other sketches or points in the sketch is so slow it's basically unusable. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I'd have to imagine it has to do with the DXF imported sketch. I've checked browser compatibility, tried two different computers in two different browsers. There's no obvious issues in the performance tab either.

    Yes, imported sketches come in unconstrained. AFAIK DXF does not support export of constrained drawing anyway. So there is nothing OS could do, except run an autoconstraint on it, which may or may not create the constraints you want or need. You'll probably need to constrain the relevant elements manually and discard the rest.

    There is no auto-constraint option on imported sketches. I believe Martin is talking theoretically.

    Even when we have AGI, or just if I give a DXF to another expert human, it's not possible for them to know what was my design intent all the time just by looking at an unconstrained sketch (or import). Sure, there are things that an automatic system could do to help clean up basic things, like making points that are within some tolerance be coincident or horizontal/vertical lines be constrained as such, but beyond that, it gets tricky very quickly.

    Exactly. I just wanted to suggest that any autoconstraint would have to be just a guess and that could or could not help you. Most probably not. Only option I see is just fixing everything in place, and maybe pick a few elements to constrain manually, if these serve a special purpose.
