DXF File Not Visible in Bambulab Slicer After Onshape Assembly

Hi everyone,

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to design. I recently bought a 3D printer (Bambulab A1 Mini) and wanted to print a shopping cart token:

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/ea9ac99d544f2728feef73f3/w/7aaf59238f4059603d374121/e/b5a33e24ba92328d40ebfa96?renderMode=0&rightPanel=appearancePanel&uiState=66ba7258bd1e7f28c9efd174

I created the shape in one Part Studio and imported a DXF file in another, then transformed (scaled down) it. In an Assembly Studio, I wanted to put them together and export the result.

It looks like it should work in Onshape, but when I import it into the Bambulab Slicer, the DXF file isn't visible.

Can you help me with this? It's probably something very simple.

Thank you so much and best regards,

Nick

Shouldn't it be exported as an stl file?

I've tried both. STL and 3MF

Your part exports and imports (into Cura) fine on my end. Are you trying to engrave text into the part? Looks like you've already figured it out?

I've now used a workaround and exported both parts separately.
But I would nevertheless like to know if I did something wrong—maybe my mate connectors are incorrect.

I could be wrong, as I have little hands-on experience with a 3D printer, but I have some thoughts.

In exploring your assembly, I never saw a time when you had the little vehicle sitting on the face; either it was set flush or spaced away a bit (I might have missed something). Does the slicer ignore parts contained within another part or not touching?

Also, your vehicle is only extruded to a depth of .015mm. Is your printer even capable of that? Is there a setting in the slicer that tells it to ignore that fine of detail?
