How to achieve a Sheet Metal bend with interior unbent tab?

I'm trying to create this flat support that is not bent inside a bend. I get the visual effect, but breaks the part in two and the sheet metal drawing "cannot be resolved." Even thought the sketch has lines that can break up the face, I can't seem to select less than the entire planar face of the sheet metal model to bend.
I tried other stuff like unioning the parts and extrude-removing the interior relief cut, but no improvements.

- Generate the base part, but without that cutout section
- Use boolean to remove the cutout section in bent form (make sure you cut all the way back to the flat face section)
- Use tab to generate that tab

(Its not perfect but you get the idea)
