Can I do this with mates?

When the BLUE part slides to the right, the GRAY ball should Move radially outward, causing the GREEN part to slide to the left.

I think so. Wouldn't that be two slider mates that intersect at an angle defined by the cone that guides the ball?

    • Slider 1 is defined by center of bore and center of ball.
    • Slider 2 is defined by angle of cone at an offset and center of ball.

I have this working. At lease mostly. I can get the parts to move correctly but the Animation gets stuck at inflection points on the created spline surface!

I followed the post from Alnis in "How to Mate Ball Detent Mechanism?".
1-Used Unified Spline FS to create a surface for the ball to follow using a Tangent mate on the shaft.
2-Added another Tangent mate between the Green keeper and ball
