Export Unique Composite Parts as Separate Parts

I feel there's a bug or semanti c misunderstanding that is easily made when exporting COmposite Parts. If you select, say, 3 composite parts to export, and check 'Export Unique Parts as Individual Files', I would have expected the result not to be each constituent part of the composite to be exported. Rather, I would expect, since I explicitly wanted and chose to export Composite Parts, that I would get 3 separate STLs (knowing and realizing full well that these may contain multiple disjoint bodies).
