Frame Trim Limitations

I'm trying to make a frame using 6x6 aluminum tubing that has about 5 or 6 vertical members acting as columns, and the horizontal members need to be broken between them. In SW, this was 3 features, but in OS it seems like I'm going to need a lot of features to achieve this.

This is where I'm at in OS:

This is what I'm trying to achieve (from SW):

I can't figure out a way to do this easily with the limited tools in OS. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I think the best option is to draw the horizontal sections as individual sketch segments (instead of long line, or you can just use the endpoints of each vertical segment to define the horizontal ones) and then use the "ordered group" option in the frame trim.
It takes 3 frame features and a trim feature:

Or you can do it in two frame features and one trim if your lines are on the center of the frames:

That means I have to do extra steps with additional lines/dimensions/constraints, which kind of ruins the efficiency. This makes it a lot more difficult for me to try and sell this to my employer as the program we need.

Here's another option using an array.
