Why can't I join these line to one shape?

The attached has me totally confused!
The top line is 40mm the upright is 50mm, the angled line is 55 degrees and the arc represents the outer of a wheel with a 150mm diameter.
I have tried to Boolean them but it won't allow.
What am I missing?

I'm not sure what you're trying to do. But it looks like you got it working?

thank you, you're correct it is now working. I cleared it off and re-did it. All good now.
