Diameter symbol in 2D drawing derived from a 3D model

Hi,
when I apply dimension to a circle I get the proper diameter-symbol. When I try to add the diameter symbol to a non-circle-dimension manually, I get the ugly oval. When I copy the proper diameter-symbol, it turns into the oval.
How to I get to proper diameter-symbol in any dimension?

Interesting. They all appear the same for me. And mine look nothing like yours. Are you using a special font perhaps?

I am using ARIsoP1 as font for all dimensions.
The trick is, to first dimension the circle in a top view where the circle is visible. Then dimension the circle in a side view where the circle is not visible. The correct diameter-symbol then gets inserted automatically.
however, the trick does not work in this case:
Not sure how to help you there, you may have to open a support ticket. If it is a font issue the only thing you can really do is change the font. Sounds like that font has an upper and lower case diameter symbol if that is even possible.
