I made this drone, I need feedback

I have attached the drone that I made - as you can tell, I am a beginner, and the model isn't really good. However, I wanted the community to give me some feedback and improvements for the drone model. This is the body, and the rotors or blades are attached to the cylinders on each of the arms of the drone. However, it clearly isn't giving "drone" vibes, and looks far away from a drone. What can I do to improve the model?

    For a beginner this is a really great start!

    Aesthetics

    • The arms could use a lighter looking frame approach instead of solid.
    • Model the actual blades instead of a cylinder: You could do this with a revolve and a loft.
    • Change the colors up a bit: Right click the part > edit appearance.
    • Add a decal to the top middle. There is a new decal feature for the part studio.
    • Add some cosmetic wires with Evan's freeform spline and then wire feature.

    Efficiency

    • Model the arm once then insert it into an assembly multiple times where you can use mates to connect the blade.
    • Then insert the arm and blade sub assembly into a larger assembly that contains the body. Mate the arms to the body.
    • Remember to place mate connectors on the parts while they are in their part studios not in the assembly. This way you only have to do it once.
    • You may be able to use the replicate assembly feature to replicate the arm sub assemblies to the correct places on the main body.

    It also is not a terrible idea to take a crack at reproducing a real world drone inside OnShape, in part to give you some ideas about what the essential properties of "drone-ness" are. If you have a drone and some calipers, try modeling the real thing and see how close you can get in OnShape, and how quickly you can get it done while maintaining a clean design in the CAD system.
