help with Sketch Constraints

hi am new to onshape, can not figure out why I can get the lines to turn black in sketch one. would some please be able to have a look and explain what I have done wrong and how to fix please.

The sketch in your screenshot seems like it has nothing tying it to any external references (the origin or the default planes or another sketch). You need to add constraints and/or dimensions.
