My extruded part has 2 edges - 1 for the sketch and 1 for the extrude

My extruded part has 2 edges - 1 for the sketch and 1 for the extrude where the fillet is.

I re-drew the part and used sketch fillets in one and fillets of the extrusion on another with the same result.

This has caused problems when exporting to Winmax to create a CNC path.

What have I done wrong?

    This is normal. Those edges are coincident - you can verify it by selecting both and using the measure tool.

    CAD software uses precise values and equations for curves behind the scenes, but in order to render something on screen it calculates a few points and draws straight lines between them. The points it uses are rarely in the exact same placement the curve in a sketch and a curvw on a part edge.

    IIf you increase the tesselation resulting in more points and shorter straight line segments the two cirves should appear to get closer to matching each other.

    Are you exporting the part? That looks like coarse tessellation, so you can see if increasing that helps.

    Hi Oliver,

    Thanks for the info. The problem I had was that it created 2 tool paths in Winmax CAM software and our machine ops did not know which path to select for the cutter path.

    I exported as a STEP with some processing and it has cleaned it up. Other models I have drawn with similar properties did not have this occur and I was curious why this model did.
