Errormsg: Sketch not fully defined

roger_m_kolaksroger_m_kolaks Member Posts: 26

I'm seeing this alert on two of the sketches in the linked document. Could someone help me interpret the errmsg so that I might make the necessary corrections?

I am also seeing unexpected lines when I import the exported DXF files into Mathematica. Might the two issues be related?

This is a warning not an error. It means that there are entities not constrained that can be moved around in sketch 'vertices'. In sketch 'reducing edges' I simply added a fix constraint to the note and the message went away. Blue entities are unconstrained and black are fully constrained.

    Thank you.

In the Sketch "vertices" it appears that the 100+ vertices are unconstrained, at least my aged eyes detect a blue tint to them. I find this curious because all the elements are Mirrors of the initial octagon that I created with the Polygon tool.

It also seems that few of the edges are shown as Coincident with their vertices. Perhaps this is the result of using a Projection of an earlier Sketch as a foundation.

Is there a method I can use to delete all Projection constraints in the Sketch or would I have to select and delete each independently?
