Help with pin in a slot revolute feature.

I've got two discs, one with a curved slot and the other with a pin. The discs share a common shaft, one is fixed to the shaft the other is free to rotate. I want the rotation to tie the rotation of the two discs together.
The pin slot mate doesn't let me do it. I've found other discussions that I can't seem to get working. Maybe there's a different way to do it, but I can't seem to find one.
I was sort of able to do what I'm trying to in the first link here. This was a copy of another similar problem, but I can't seem to fully grasp how it works. I'm unable to replicate it with my parts in the second link.
