Fully define circular part pattern in assembly

madelyn_rmadelyn_r Member Posts: 2

I have a circular part pattern in an assembly, with the center of the pattern about mate connector:

Right now I have the pattern with 8 parts, but I am still able to move them around the axis and increase and decrease the radius of the pattern. How do I define the radius of the pattern? How can I choose the range of angles the pattern populates across?

The radius is set by selecting a circular edge. You shouldn't be able change the radius unless the mate connecter is floating relative to the part the edge is selected from. It may happen if the part is not somehow fixed either directly or by a mate to something fixed. Try dragging the part around to see if it's fixed.

Are you looking for something like this? An array of an array.
