Ability to only select outer or inner corners

I frequently have have a case where I only want to fillet (or chamfer or whatever) the outer corners of something.
Now, I have to either select every corner I want one-by-one, which is really cumbersome.
Or drag a box to bulk select ALL corners, and then manually deselect all the corners I don't want, which is also really cumbersome.
So I would really like an option to either select only outer or inner corners with a modifier key.
Or some option in the fillet/chamfer/… window to have it only get applied on outer/inner/all corners.

Thanks. Although it seems to not be very stable. Even when selecting a simple box shape, it will in some cases just error out and do nothing.
