Conflict between mates

Although it seems like it should work, the last two mates, a Revolute mate and a Parallel mate (both with no movement limits) work independently but when both are unsuppressed no assembly movement is possible and errors are apparent in the tree. This model was created to observe the arms' positions and It's not essential for the keg to maintain vertical but I'm curious as to why this does not work. Please let me know why. - Scotty

A parallel mate makes the z-axes of the two mate connectors parallel. My guess is that something in your keg/hook geometry is making the two axes not exactly parallel when attached. Replacing the keg with a perfectly vertical cylinder fixes the problem.
Yeah there's something odd with the keg model for sure: the keg's top face is not actually perpendicular to your hook (it's close but it's off by a bit):
TIP: hover over the dimensions in the measure tool to get the full precision instead of the "rounded" value.
I would suggest using a "transform by mate connector" instead of a "rotate by 270deg", this way you could make sure the axis of the keg is perpendicular to the top plane.
Well, thanks very much for your responses gentlemen. I appreciate your time and efforts. I would've chased that around for a long time and maybe then would have not found it. Nice shootin' guys! - Scotty
