Spline shape not extruding

jezmckjezmck Member Posts: 10

I appreciate that this kind of question comes up all the time, but I cannot see what I'm missing and my 6 year old would appreciate your help!

I have created a few shapes using splines to trace an image. One of the shapes, despite appearing to be fully connected, will not extrude and I cannot see why.

I'd rather not re-trace it, since my kid actually did the tracing and I don't want to lose that.

Please help me!

The problem area is the base of the horse's ear. The spline that was traced has some extreme curvature - I made a quick clean up in the attached doc. Note that rather than keeping it as one spline I split it into 2. You will have to consult withe the customer (!) to get design approval. But you'll be able to play with it.

    Thank you so much.

I don't understand how, and I'm surprised it's even possible, but it seems that there were two spline points in the exact same place.
