Default unit in drawings no conforming to standard units set in preferences

Hi.

I feel like a major oversight is the fact that if you set metric units as your preference and you design your parts using metric units, Onshape still defaults to imperial units when you go to generate a drawing. That is absurd. Naturally the drawing should either default to whatever global preferences you have set, or failing that to whatever units are in use in the actual studio from which the drawing is generated.

What drawing template are you using. There are imperial and metric templates. Units are set in the template. Can be changed while in the drawing.

Also, not really an oversight. Most people prefer to model in the units they're most familiar with, and then draw in whatever the manufacturer or their company standard prefers.

Just a side note, if you have created your own template, the file needs to be set as Metric before the DWT export.
