Bevel Gears feature script generates teeth that interfere with one another
Hi there. I'm trying to use the Bevel Gears feature script to generate a bevel gear pair. Here's the document link:
https://cad.onshape.com/documents/e1ab8df4bfddae632ed05776/w/8252044a08b1f76aad48388a/e/503112209244d7335deb29a6?renderMode=0&uiState=6714f3d84695cf68beb60713
When I use this feature script, it seems to generate teeth that intersect with one another. I'm worried this is not going to work in real life.
Is there another script for generating bevel gears that won't intersect? Or if not, is there a trick to using this script that won't generate intersecting gear teeth?

Ultimately after doing a little research it does seem like gearlab is the script for me. There is a minor issue with the calculation of the bevel angle, but it is easily worked around. Thanks for suggesting me to have another look at it.
I will try it. The later messages in that thread are a little concerning, however. Are the concerns raised by those posters not as pressing as they sound?
No they aren't pressing. If it works for you then cool, if it doesn't work, then you could either find another feature, make your own, or simply go on to https://www.mcmaster.com/products/gears/ and download the gear model you want.
Also, custom features are version controlled and Onshape's versions are immutable, which is pretty neat. So once you have one you like, there is nothing to worry about as far as stability and security.
