What the easiest way to close a custom case?
Hi gurus,
I'm trying to create a custom case for a project. The three parts are correctly positioned, and I want to close the gaps between them. My first try was using Loft to create the surfaces, but vertice by vertice is a lot of work, and many tweaks were needed to avoid wall collisions. To be honest, I'm not sure if this approach will work in the end.
I think seeing my progress so far will be clear to understand:

To maintain the coolness factor, I think your on the right approach with the lofts.
You may need to split the lofts up into multiple, smaller, more controlled lofts. You can use the bridging curve feature to create guide curves for the lofts. This way the connections follow a path instead of lofting directly to the target.
It will also help if you simplify the shapes you are trying to loft.
One way to do this is to wait to cut out the holes until after you have lofted the transition parts:For any remaining gaps that don't seem suitable for the loft, you can use the Fill feature. It can also accept guides.
Don't forget to take the Advanced Surfacing Learning Pathway. You will definitely need that:
