Variable table locked ?

I opened a document to make some revisions, and the variable table appears to be locked. I can not change any of the values. I copied the part studio to a new tab, but could not edit the variables there either. Is there some setting that locks a document?

It's hard to help without a shared link, but perhaps the variable table you're looking at is defined in another document/version and you're referencing it from there? In that case, the way to edit it would be to open the document where it's defined, edit it, create a new version, and update the reference.
The variable table was created and only used in this one document. I will be happy to share it if you tell me how. (newbie)
I'm guessing you are a free user, so your document is already public, so just paste the URL here. And ideally a screenshot of the entire window.

So it's like I said — you are using a variable table from a different document — this one:

And because you're using a different document, the variable table is coming from a version of that document, which cannot be edited. To edit variable values, you have to edit the workspace. Except that workspace doesn't have the variable studio because you deleted it on September 5:

You can do a selective restore (see
) to get it back and then edit the variables, make a new version, and update the reference in the original document. But overall, I suggest going to the learning center to learn more about document structure and how to make good use of it in your projects.
