Using sheet-metal tools to make a bracket.

neeam_radianeeam_radia Member Posts: 3 EDU

I've designed this bracket to be made out of 2mm aluminium sheet. I would like to turn this into a sheet metal model (it's is currently plain extruded.) How would I do that? The sheet metal tool seems to be made for creating sheet metal cases rather than converting entire models into sheet metal like I need to do here.

Better I think to start this one as sheet metal. The second one is a convert if you prefer with flanges as cut outs.

Converting to sheet metal should work fine, Onshape is actually really good at this.
I would use the "thicken" option in the create sheet metal feature.
