When importing .STEP files and converting to sheet metal I get two flat cutouts instead of one, which makes it more complicated to work withAnyone know why and how to avoid this?

I think you need to use the "thicken" option (rather than "convert") in the sheet metal feature, and make sure you only select one "side" of the imported model.
Thank you. I was already using thicken but chosing different sides of imported model which is what was causing multiple parts.
