Leaf Spring

william_framewilliam_frame Member Posts: 8

I am trying assemble a leaf string on a frame. There should be 2 shackles on each end. On one end, the shackles are fixed to the frame so they do not move; the spring can move (rotate) on the pivot pin in the eye of the spring when the spring is compressed. On the other end of the spring, the shackles pivot both in the frame and in eye on pivot pins. I have all the rotate mates set up as I think they should work correctly. However, I have no idea how I could animate the flexing of the spring. I suspect there is no way to do this.

Thanks for any suggestion or comments.

There's no good way to animate flexing right now. You could configure the spring in different states of compression to create still images though.
