Failed to add member(s). Failed to load user

I have been using Onshape as an educator for a number of years. I went to add a student to an existing team and got the following error:
Failed to add member(s). Failed to load user
I tried a different email address, it didn't work either. I created a new team and tried to add a user … no dice!
Anyone know what's wrong? I have an educator account.

You will get this error if you try to add an email address for a student who does not yet have an active Onshape account.
A good workflow would be to add this student to your Classroom. Then, they will receive an email inviting them to activate their account. Once they create an account, you can add them to a team.
