Help with creating a negative mold for a 3D-scanned motorcycle part

ömer_atilganömer_atilgan Member Posts: 5

Hello everyone,

I hope someone here can help me. I recently scanned a motorcycle part with a 3D scanner. Now I want to create a negative mold of this part, but I am facing a challenge: The part is one part but consists of many individual small and complex parts that are difficult to work with.

I've already tried a few tips and tricks, but I'm just not getting anywhere. I am looking for a solution to produce the negative mold efficiently and precisely. Maybe someone has experience with similar projects or can recommend a software or method that could help me.

I would be very grateful for any support or advice you could give me!

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards

Your success is going to largely depend on your scan data. If its not watertight you will get nowhere fast.

that looks like a single face surface meaning it that you can't hold water in it if you spin it around. You are not going to be able to create a mold from that on onshape.
