Filling out the space around pertruding shapes.

Hi everyone,
I have a connector with protruding connection ports (as shown in the top of the image). These ports tend to become fragile and brittle, so I’d like to add some supporting material around them for reinforcement. The ports themselves are slightly concave, meaning they curve inward a bit. How can I extrude material around the ports to provide support without accidentally filling in the holes?

Thanks a mil,

Hard to say, without more detail or a link to the document, but off the bat I'd just say increase the radius of those fillets.

You should point to where your talking about. Without being familiar with the product its hard to say where you concern is. maybe draft angles would help?
