Circular Pattern with Move Face feature

I'm trying to create a circular pattern here with the a move face feature, but the circular pattern always fails:
Doesn't give much of an error message, so not sure what the issue is; I've used circular pattern with features before without issues, not sure why this one fails.
Also tried a circular pattern with the faces selected and that didn't work either.

Here's a thought.
- Replace revolve face with solid to eliminate close operation.
- Change revolve to symmetric 360/8deg.
- Fix split and move face.
- Circular array of part/add.

It's confused on what do with this area. maybe recreate that with some other way than the move face and it might work
it's worth a try with a face pattern, rather then a feature pattern.
in feature pattern, perhaps the split face needs to be included. worth a try but may not solve it.
if you create an extrude (new body) with this custom feature:

you could use a part pattern, then subtract in the circular pattern.
also likely the Regional pattern feature will also work.

Here's a thought.

Yes, it look like this is an alternate way of completing this shape, seems weird the other way wasn't able to resolve, but :shrug.
Thanks for the help!
