Trouble creating derived features

I am making an electronic enclosure. I want to insert the circuit board into my housing using the derived feature and then cut holes in the housing to match the connectors and mounting holes in the circuit board. I can get it to work where I insert the housing into the circuit board, but not the other way around. The PCB is not a derivable part while I am in the part studio containing the housing. Am I doing something wrong?

Without access to your document, I am assuming the issue is that adding the PCB into your housing part studio might result in a circular dependency. Does your Part Studio with the PCB in it already have a derived part from the housing Part Studio? If so, deriving features back the other way is blocked as some of the geometry can be based on what was derived in in a circular way and not be solvable.
If this is not the case, can you give more detail about your workflow? The other possibility I can think of is that a single derive feature only allows bringing in from one Part Studio, not multiple. Multiple derive features will be needed to bring in multiple parts from multiple Part Studios.
