ZigZag loft (for lack or a better word/term)

I would like to apply the zigzag of 1 with the shape of 2, so that I get a vase that has a zigzag surface. Anyone have any ideas for how to accomplish this, I'm fairly new to Onshape and cad.

Something like this?
I used the "connections" option in the loft tool

If you need more control, you could start with a block and cut one groove using a sweep (maybe along a helix or something) and then circular pattern the groove.
I interpreted it to mean something like this… but with all surfaces zig zagged. If you twist this too far it becomes problematic with self interecting body. This example was only twisted 45°
This one I had to back off 10° to 35° twist to avoid self intersecting.
Thank you both. MDesign, you are on the right track. I will have time to test some more tomorrow
I solved it by fixing my imported dxf, it had broken paths
