Resolving Variable Table and Variable Studio conflict

Hello All. I'm working on a drawer project and am using (trying to use) a Variable Studio for various dimensions. I initially used a Variable Table in a part studio (carcase) but then created a Variable Studio. I copied the Variable Table to the Variable Studio.
In the 'carcase' part studio I have the Variable Table open and the Variable Studio with it. When edited, the values for the same variable are not in sync. I have had both tables in a document before and don't recall having such a problem. Can someone reveal what is going on?
I would be content just deleting the variable table but nothing within the three dots enables that. Wait! I went back to the document mid post and discovered I can delete all the variables in the table one by one and, of course, there is no longer a conflict and the Variable Studio is intact.
Although I found a way, I suspect there is a better method by which it would make it unnecessary. - Scotty
