How do I show multiple sketches in a single drawing view?

StephenGStephenG Member Posts: 380 ✭✭✭

It appears the OS only always one sketch to be shown in a view that was created by inserting just a 2D sketch.

As contrasted to creating a view by inserting (referencing) 3D part geometry. These views allow multiple sketches to be shown in the view.

I have a series of sketches (poor man layer functionality) that represent different aspects in the design. I wish to create a drawing of selective layers merged in a drawing view. I have worked around this limitation by creating a dummy part in the part studio where the sketches are. I do not understand why the restriction/limitation.

@StephenG If this is an assembly view, then you can currently show all sketches in the assembly in the view. To control which specific sketch is part of the "all" you can use a display state to control sketch visibility and then reference the display state from the assembly view.

If this is a view of a part, in the show/hide sketch dialog you can select as many sketches as you wish to show in the view.
