Extruding to a single spine
I am attempting to recreate this vintage car emblem from a 1961 Buick LeSabre.
As you can see in the image there are several layers to the lettering as well as a the lettering coming to a single spline on the "Sabre" part. I am still relatively new in the CAD/Onshape realm, so I don't know if I am just using the functions incorrectly, but I have been struggling to recreate the image. I have attempted to extrude and add a custom chamfer which didn't work as the thickness of the lettering changes. I have tried drafts that were unsuccessful. My most recent attempt was to create offset planes and trace the center spline to attempt to loft to and again was unsuccessful. Any recommendations on how to achieve this effect?

The other complicating factor is that I hope to be able to wrap this over a slight radius, as I plan to create a custom badge for a set of valve covers. I know generally the wrapping would be first in order of operations but I wanted to see if I could even reproduce the shape before I get to deep into the woods of wrapping.
Comments
create cylinder for wrap, creat sketch of base outline, wrap the sketch to the cylinder with thickness, finish top side with curves and surfacing tools.
Is how I’d try to attack it. Key word try.
