How to set camera rotation step and perspective?

alan_lin755alan_lin755 Member Posts: 8

I was using SolidEdge and am trying OnShape recently.

I googled some "OnShape camera" but the results are about how to make a model of camera rather than camera settings :D

Here are my questions:

  1. The rotation is 15 deg per step, but I personally need 90 deg step only. Is there anyway to change the setting?

2. When I click the corner of cubic as in yellow, I get this

However, I want to see this

In SolidEdge, clicking the corner goes to the closest isometric view, while in OnShape it always goes to the same view.

For example, when I am in the view of the last image, clicking the corner of cubic in SE does not change the view, but in OnShape it always goes to view in the second image.

Thus I would like to ask if there is a way to change such behavior.

PS: I know there is "named view", but it needs to be set for every different part studio file.

    1. Hold Shift while clicking the arrows in the viewcube (or using the arrow keys) for 90 degree increments. (Or hold CTRL while clicking for 5 degree increments)

    Thank you.

I am still looking for answer to question 2 but having 90 deg increment helps a lot already.
