Any idea on how to fill this negative area to match the contours of the part?

Help! I've managed to take a buddy's STL file built in Nomad Sculpt and convert it to a solid part. However I need to fill this "eye" space to match the contour of the rest of the part.
I've tried using fill to no avail.
Anyone have any ideas?

Haven't tried this but I'd try building a surface over it and thicken it then Boolean union it to the main part
Can you post a link to your document?
Did as I suggested. built a surface over the the left eye. thickened it with merge. no boolean needed. drawback is that I had to leave it stick up .005" to get it to merge. seems "tolerable" for most types of work
