New to onshape. How do I fillet an inside corner of an STL mesh file.

I'm trying to edit this STL I built in thingiverse. The part where the double helix connects to the base is too weak and easily breaks after printing. I'd like to reinforce that by creating a rounded fillet. I'm able to import the file into Onshape but when I try to use the fillet tool nothing happens. I'm sure I'm missing 20 steps between but have no idea where to start. Was hoping this would be a simple operation.

how new are you to Onshape? Or cad n general?
Im brand new to onshape. My experience with Cad is mostly using tinkercad. Have tried other cads before but got nowhere due to learning curve.
most production oriented CAD will have a significant learning curve. Edit STL adds a another level of difficulty. But the overall process to do what you want is to recreate the geometry in Onshape that you need to modify and apply the fillet. Start with learning.onshape.com
