Part name won't change (to include expression variables) tried multiple Featurescripts

EDIT: I (sort of) solved this myself after discovering that you can't use FS to rename parts unless they still have their default part names. But… if you name it once, how can you "undo" that renaming so the FS works again? I had to delete the first extrude and then rebuild it and fix all of the broken feature links down the line. Is there an easier way to revert a part to its default name?

This part name just won't change, despite trying to change it using multiple different naming FS's.

Ideas? Fixes?

This is probably one of my biggest frustrations with FeatureScript. Any property (name, appearance, etc) that has been set by the user cannot be overridden by a featurescript. I'd really like to just set an option in "setProperty" for like "override" or something that can force it. I end up in some workflows where you just can't do anything about it.

The only way to fix it is to go into the part → properties → reset all.
The other way is to pattern the input body and delete the original - thus creating a new part. Which 9 out of 10 times is not really an acceptable workflow.
